Landscape stewardship using Commons Connect
Commons Connect is an Android application meant for communities and landscape stewards to understand and build natural resource management plans for their villages, forests, pastures, and water. If you are an organization or volunteer wanting to use the application to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) that can be submitted for funding under MGNREGA and other government schemes, or to philanthropic donors, following are some steps to follow:
- Register on https://dashboard.core-stack.org/
- Login and create a Commons Connect project
- If your area (Tehsil) is not listed then let us know and we will generate the data for the location quickly.
- Create plans, i.e. a holding place for asset mapping and demand, typically done at a village level.
- Create plan editors, i.e. logins for landscape stewards who will build NRM plans for their locations
- Have the stewards download Commons Connect [write to support@core-stack.org for an APK link] and get started!
